LG has unveiled the LG Display 32UQ85R and LG DualUp Monitor 28MQ780, which it says are designed to meet the needs of professional users around the world. These premium monitors will be shown at CES 2022 during LG’s virtual press conference on January 4th.

The overall strengths of the new monitors include “sleek and practical designs, improved connectivity and a superior user experience.” The manufacturer sees the users of these monitors as home and office workers, including creative professionals and programmers.

The LG UltraFine Display is designed with the needs of art directors, graphic designers, streamers, and photo and video editors in mind. It is based on a 31.5-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) Nano IPS Black panel. Its contrast is claimed to be 2000: 1. The screen covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space. To maintain high color accuracy, the monitor is equipped with a removable auto-calibration sensor.

The LG DualUp Monitor, which also covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color space, is ideal for tasks such as content creation and encoding, according to the company. It uses a Nano IPS panel with a unique 16:18 aspect ratio. This is a completely new format for monitors. It complies with Square Double QHD resolution (2560 x 2880 pixels). In fact, the screen real estate is equivalent to two 21.5-inch displays. This monitor has a vertical split screen function that “lets you see more at a glance.” Another feature is the LG Ergo “over-adjustable” stand, which saves space by attaching securely to most desks. The dual-height LG DualUp Monitor reduces side-to-side head movements, which the manufacturer says are the main cause of neck pain.

Monitors support AMD FreeSync technology. The response time is stated to be 5 ms. They are equipped with USB Type-C interfaces with support for DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery (96 W), as well as HDMI (x2), DisplayPort (x1) inputs and dual-port USB hubs. The LG Display 32UQ85R model is equipped with two 5W loudspeakers, the LG DualUp Monitor 28MQ780 – 7W each.

The manufacturer does not provide prices.
