Scientists have learned to attach a new medical “computer” under the muscles, right on the bone

As the creators specified, the new device, a kind of computer on the bone, will speed up rehabilitation and achieve maximum improvement in functions after injuries. Such a sensor will be especially useful for people with osteoporosis.

The scientists explained that because muscles are so close to bones and are mobile, it is important that the device is thin enough not to irritate the surrounding tissue or move. Therefore, the thickness of the device is similar to a sheet of paper. It also doesn’t need a battery. The device uses NFC technology, which is also used in smartphones for contactless payments.
