Scientists have found a way to save the eyes of astronauts from “crushing”

The fact is that fluids tend to accumulate in the head when a person sleeps. On Earth, gravity pulls them back when you stand up. However, in zero gravity conditions, a lot of fluid accumulates in the head, which causes pressure on the eyeball to grow. Because of this, the organ can become flatter, leading to impairment of vision.

A new development of scientists – a special sleeping bag – redistributes fluid inside the body of astronauts. It allows you to normalize the intracranial pressure of a person lying in it, and to protect the eyes.
