Samsung’s ‘iron’ phone has arrived, throw it anywhere or dip it in water, it will keep working like butter!

New Delhi. Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 rugged smartphone with removable battery was introduced in the global market last month. Now the South Korean company has launched the phone in India. This handset is available in the country in Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. Galaxy XCover 7 will have IP68-certified build and military grade (MIL-STD-810H) durability. A 50MP primary camera and 4,050mAh battery is also provided in the rear of the phone. According to the claim, Galaxy XCover 7 is Samsung’s first enterprise focused smartphone in India.

The price of standard edition of Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 is Rs 27,208. Whereas, the price of Enterprise Edition is Rs 27,530. It has been introduced in single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Customers will also get one year warranty in the standard edition. At the same time, the Enterprise Edition phone will come with a warranty of 2 years. Corporate and institutional customers can buy this latest phone through Samsung’s site and online EPP portal. Samsung is offering 12-month Knox Suite subscription with Galaxy XCover 7 Enterprise Edition.

Specifications of Samsung Galaxy XCover 7
This phone with dual-SIM support runs on Android 14 and has a 6.6-inch full-HD (1,080 x 2,408 pixels) TFT display with 60Hz refresh rate. There is also a water-drop style notch for selfies. This rugged phone has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. This phone has an octa-core 6nm processor with 6GB RAM. At present, Samsung has not revealed the name of the processor but it is expected that it could be MediaTek Dimensity 6100 processor.

For photography, a 50MP primary camera and 5MP front camera is provided in the rear of the phone. Its internal memory is 128GB and it can be expanded up to 1TB with the help of a card. In terms of connectivity, the phone has 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and A 3.5mm audio jack is supported.

Speakers with Dolby Atmos sound technology are also provided in the phone. The Galaxy XCover 7 is MIL-STD-810H certified for durability. At the same time, it is also IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. It can stay in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. Its battery is 4,050mAh.
