Samsung Galaxy Event on October 21: Samsung has announced the date of its next Galaxy event, Worlds Wide Open Galaxy Event. This event is going to be held on October 21 and in this event the company will introduce its AI-powered XR headset ‘Project Moohan’ for the first time. This device will be based on Android XR and will have advanced features like eye movement control, hand gestures, voice commands. This XR headset can also get support of Gemini AI assistant. Along with this, apps optimized for large virtual display will also be able to run. This device will not only be innovative from the technological point of view but will also make the user interface more interactive and immersive than ever before.

The Samsung Galaxy event will be held on October 21st at 10:00 PM ET (October 22nd in India at 7:30 AM IST). The event can be watched live on the Samsung Newsroom and Samsung’s YouTube channel. This event is considered to be a new launch for Samsung’s AI and XR technologies.
Project Moohan: Samsung’s first XR headset
‘Project Moohan’ will be Samsung’s first Extended Reality (XR) headset, designed specifically for Google’s Android XR platform. The headset will be fully AI-native and feature multi-modal input support. The company first teased it at the 2024 Galaxy event, and it’s now ready for an official launch.
Controlled by the eyes
‘Project Moohan’ will feature the latest display technology, passthrough mode, and multi-modal input support. It will feature a network of LEDs and infrared cameras to track eye movements, allowing users to interact with just their gaze. It will also support voice commands and hand gestures.
Thanks to the Android XR OS, the headset will also support several of Google’s AI features, such as Circle to Search, an immersive Google Maps view, Chrome browsing, and live translation. Its total weight is expected to be around 545 grams, which is comparable to the Apple Vision Pro.
Support for Gemini AI and large virtual displays
Samsung may also integrate the Gemini AI assistant into its XR headset. It will also allow apps optimized for the large virtual display to run. This device will not only be technologically innovative but will also make the user interface more interactive and immersive than ever before.
Smart glasses may also be launched
Along with Project Moohan, Samsung may also introduce a new smartglasses. This device was teased at a Galaxy event in January 2025. While not much information is currently available about it, it is expected that it will also enhance AI and AR/VR experiences.
