Samsung Electronics has begun distributing a software update for its flagship Galaxy S23 series smartphones outside of Korea. An important update for the camera and the “Gallery” began to receive European smartphone users.
Last week, such an update became available in Samsung’s native South Korean market, and now it has reached the international level. The update is available over the air for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra with firmware version S91xBXXU1AWC8. The size is about 936.02 MB, which is quite a lot. The update includes the April 2023 Android security patch.
Samsung’s camera enhancements in this update include autofocus enhancements, faster gallery performance when deleting images, and improved clarity of videos captured with the ultra-wide camera in low-light conditions. Also fixed was a bug due to which a green line was displayed on some images. In addition, Samsung has improved Full HD video stabilization at 60fps and in low light.
The update fixes image quality issues when Night Mode is disabled and Camera Assistant is set to: Frame Rate » High Resolution » Speed Priority.
The work with colors in 50 and 200 megapixel modes has also been improved, the sharpness of images has been increased, the problem with blurring of photos has been solved due to improved stabilization. Samsung has also reportedly improved the shutter lag issue.
