Samsung has announced that the Galaxy user community has already raised $10 million for the UN.
We are talking about the Sustainable Development Goals program, for which Samsung collected donations through the Global Goals application.
The Sustainable Development Goals are a set of 17 interrelated goals developed in 2015 by the UN General Assembly as “a blueprint for a better and more sustainable future for all”. This includes eradicating poverty, ensuring gender equality, rationalizing consumption and production, and so on. The Samsung Global Goals app was launched in 2019, so it took more than three years to raise 10 million.
At Samsung, we know that technology plays a critical role in solving some of the biggest challenges the world is facing right now. Through our partnership with the UN and the Samsung Global Goals app, the Galaxy community has been instrumental in advancing the global goals. We want to thank our users for making this incredible milestone possible.
