Samsung Galaxy S24 could be the world’s first Wi-Fi 7 phone

As the WCCF resource writes with reference to a DigiTimes report, the emergence of serial smartphones with Wi-Fi 7 support will take place in 2024, in the second half. And one of the first such devices could be the Samsung Galaxy S24.

The current Wi-Fi 6E technology is considered nothing more than a transitional between Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7, however, it will be delayed for the next one and a half to two years. The Galaxy S24 will in any case receive the top Qualcomm platform, and the company there are already Wi-Fi 7 adapters for access points and routers, the appearance of similar chips for mobile SoCs is a matter of the near future. They will support quad-band connectivity over 16 streams, 300 MHz channels and 30 Gb / s bandwidth (up to 40 Gb / s at the peak).

By comparison, Wi-Fi 6 has a maximum throughput of 9.6 Gbps, so the Galaxy S24 will be very fast when it comes to connecting to a wireless network.
