Today it became known that the Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones will not only have the highest performance, but will also meet the IP68 degree of protection. This means that the Samsung Galaxy S22 can work normally for 30 minutes underwater at a depth of 1.5 meters.
Even though IP68 dust and water resistance is a standard feature for last year’s flagships, there have been no waterproof devices among Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphones yet. Motorola and Xiaomi flagships are not officially waterproof devices.
There have also been rumors that the Galaxy S22 smartphones will come preloaded with Samsung One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, which will later be released for the Galaxy S21 as well as the Galaxy Note 20.
Samsung has officially announced that the live broadcast of the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is expected to announce the flagship smartphones Samsung Galaxy S22, will be held on February 9 this year at 18:00 Moscow time.
