Samsung Galaxy M15 presented: AMOLED screen, capacious battery and 5 years of updates

Samsung quietly released the Galaxy M15 smartphone without any grand presentations. The notable features of this budget-friendly device include a “flagship” design for its rear panel, fast charging capability, and an impressive period of software support compared to other devices in its price range.

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch SuperAMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, and a maximum brightness of 800 nits. At the top center of the display, there’s a drop-shaped cutout housing a 13-megapixel front camera (f/2.0). The rear camera module includes a 50 MP main sensor (f/1.8), a 5 MP ultra-wide sensor (f/2.2), and a 2 MP macro camera (f/2.4).

Powering the device is an unnamed eight-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz, presumably the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, with support for microSD memory cards up to 1 TB.

The Galaxy M15 packs a large 6000 mAh battery with support for 25-watt fast charging, ensuring ample autonomy. The device measures 160.1 x 76.8 x 9.3 mm and weighs 217 grams. It runs on Android 14 and is expected to receive up to four OS updates, along with security patches for another five years. Details regarding the smartphone’s release date and price will be announced at a later time.
