Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Leak Hints at AirPods Pro-Inspired Design and Speedy Charging

Eagle-eyed tech enthusiasts recently spotted leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 retail box, offering a sneak peek at the upcoming earbuds. The most striking revelation? A design shift that seemingly takes inspiration from Apple’s AirPods Pro.

According to reports, Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation true wireless earbuds (TWS) alongside its highly anticipated foldable smartphones at a Galaxy Unpacked event sometime in July. This leak aligns with earlier rumors that Samsung might be giving its TWS earbuds a design refresh in 2024.

Stems and Continued AKG Partnership

The leaked retail box images, shared by 91Mobiles based on industry sources, appear to confirm that the Galaxy Buds 3 will sport stems, similar to the popular AirPods Pro. This design change marks a departure from Samsung’s previous flagship TWS earbuds. Additionally, the box proudly displays the AKG logo, suggesting that Samsung’s long-standing partnership with the renowned acoustics company will continue.

The back of the retail box reportedly reveals some key specifications of the Galaxy Buds 3. It includes a “Made in China” label, alongside details about the earbuds’ capabilities. This leak aligns with a previous social media post where a user shared a purported screenshot from the Samsung Members app, showcasing a new iconography for the earbuds.

Seasoned tech leaker Evan Blass also previously hinted that both the Galaxy Buds 3 and the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro might incorporate stems. This design choice signifies a significant shift for Samsung’s flagship TWS earbuds.

Battery Life and Speedy Charging

The leaked retail box also sheds light on the expected battery life of the Galaxy Buds 3. The box suggests that the earbuds can deliver up to 6 hours of playback on a single charge. However, it remains unclear whether this figure includes Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) being turned on or off. If it does include ANC, this would represent an improvement over the Galaxy Buds 2, which promise up to 5 hours of music playback with ANC enabled.

Another exciting feature hinted at by the retail box is fast charging. With just 10 minutes of charging, the Galaxy Buds 3 could offer a full hour of playback. Additionally, the box mentions the presence of “adjustable secure-fit earhooks” and sweat and water resistance, making the earbuds a potentially good option for workouts and active lifestyles.

With the official launch event expected sometime in July, these leaked details offer a tantalizing glimpse of what to expect from the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3. The design shift, combined with the promise of improved battery life and fast charging, has generated excitement among tech enthusiasts. The coming weeks will reveal whether the Galaxy Buds 3 live up to the hype.
