Same day delivery on Flipkart as ordered, service starting in 20 cities

Flipkart will soon offer same-day delivery in select regions of India. In this, a large product range will be available for shipping option. However, no specific date has been fixed for when this service will be available to the users in the country. The company has provided a general timeline for this. It will be rolled out for users in some cities first. Gradually this shipping option will be started for all the users of the country.

The company has announced on Wednesday that in India Flipkart Same day delivery will soon be available to users. This service will start in February and will first be available in 20 cities. Initially, customers of Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Patna, Raipur, Siliguri and Vijayawada will avail this service.

Flipkart has said that users will have to place the order by 1 pm to get same-day delivery. After this the customer can be assured of getting the delivery of the product before 12 o’clock (midnight). Any other orders placed after 1pm will be delivered the next day. According to Flipkart, the service will be extended for several months to reach more users while providing shipping options to users across India. The company said that many products, including mobiles, fashion and beauty items, lifestyle products, books, home appliances and electronics etc. will have same day delivery.

Let us tell you that the e-commerce site Amazon Offers its users multiple shipping options including same-day delivery. Same day, one day and two day delivery options are also free for Amazon Prime members. Both Prime Lite and non-Prime users can avail same-day and same-day delivery at an additional fee of Rs 175 and Rs 125 per item. However, Prime Lite members can avail free two-day delivery, while customers without Prime subscription will have to pay an additional Rs 120 per item.
