In Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, the bodies of a young man and a woman were found hanging from the bridge over Hindon river. Police suspect that this is a case of ‘honor killing’. At present, the police have taken the dead bodies and sent it for postmortem.
In the case, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sagar Jain told the news agency that 24 -year -old Ravi and a 17 -year -old girl were allegedly in a relationship. The villagers saw his bodies hanging on the Ganganagar crossing bridge in Maheshpur in Saharanpur on Wednesday morning. The neck of both was tied with rope with different ropes.
The Superintendent of Police said that on receiving the information, the Bargaon police reached the spot and took both the bodies. At the moment, we are investigating the matter from all angles including the possibility of honor killing. The bodies have been sent for post -mortem. After the report, the causes of death will be known.
It is being told that the young man was an adult while the girl was a minor. They had an alleged love affair. Both were missing from home. In such a situation, there is a possibility of killing the family members and hanging them from the bridge. A motorcycle has also been recovered from the spot. The police is investigating now. Evidence has been collected from the spot. The truth will be revealed only after investigation.
