The peculiarity of the new method is to take into account the influence of the local climate on the wear of materials. Experts have achieved this with the help of big data processing technologies. In the course of research, regularities were revealed that link climatic parameters – temperature, humidity, ultraviolet radiation – and the rate of destruction of protective coatings.
“Our approach allows us to analyze the durability of materials, taking into account the quantitative indicators of environmental factors, which was previously impossible. In the future, the use of this method will prevent the destruction of buildings due to more accurate data on the durability of coatings in a particular area, as well as increase the efficiency of building protection by improving polymer materials, ”explained Tatyana Nizina, head of work, professor of the Department of Building Structures at Mordovia University.
