If not for the events of last year, then around May in Russia, the assembly of new budget Renault cars should have begun. The insider public “Avtograd news” published an image of the third generation Russian Renault Logan – the picture shows the car as it was supposed to go into production last year.
Reportedly, such a Logan was going to be produced in Tolyatti on the first line of the main conveyor. Apparently, where the Lada Vesta NG is now being assembled after the transfer of the production line from Izhevsk. The plastic body kit of the car shown in the picture indicates that this is the Stepway version, but the regular Logan was also planned for release. The car was supposed to be built on the CMF-B LS platform, in the basic version it was credited with a 1-liter TCe turbocharged engine with a power of 91 hp.
Now, instead of the third generation Logan, we are waiting for the new Granta – on the same platform, but with different engines. According to leaked on the web a few days ago images of the brand new Granta, it will turn out to be a reduced copy of Vesta. The production of the new Granta should be launched at the end of 2024.
