TASS writes about this with reference to a source in the shipbuilding industry. In general, the helicopter carriers will receive an anti-mine complex consisting of unmanned boats and underwater drones of domestic development. According to the source, two BECs will be placed on board the ship at once.
These unmanned boats will independently detect and identify naval mines. To do this, they will use an onboard sonar station and magnetometers. Mines will be destroyed by remotely controlled underwater vehicles. This will allow helicopter carriers to independently solve combat missions in the far sea zone without the support of the anti-mine forces of the fleet.
