According to Vedomosti, the Russian Auto Dealers Association (RoAD) proposed to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to create a law on the auto business.
The letter, a copy of which was reviewed by Vedomosti, states that the current legislation of the Russian Federation in no way defines the relationship between automakers, distributors and dealers.
The Association “Russian Automobile Dealers” considers it important to create a law that will serve to stabilize the market and regulate relations between industry participants, taking into account the fact that foreign brands may eventually return to Russia, as well as new players.
According to Vedomosti, the letter was sent to the prime minister’s office last Wednesday, December 21. This was confirmed by a representative of the Russian Auto Dealers Association.
