Igor Ashmanov, a member of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, said that a register of “toxic” content could appear in the country.
Ashmanov said that he discussed the draft register with the chairman of the HRC Valery Fadeev and the general director of ANO Dialogue Alexei Goreslavsky. Such a list can include data on the dangers of vaccinations, child refusal, LGBT communities and bestiality.
There is a huge gray area that serves to involve people in already prohibited activities. Creating a toxic content registry is a way to do something about this gray area – content that won’t be banned anytime soon.
In their opinion, such content should be blocked, cleaned up, downgraded, removed from platforms. The data in this catalog will be labeled according to the degree of “toxicity”: from undesirable to prohibited.
