According to Kommersant, the Russian authorities have requested information from airlines about the necessary spare parts and consumables for foreign-made aircraft. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is studying the possibility of their production in Russia.
On April 14, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov sent a corresponding letter to Deputy Transport Minister Igor Chalik. He addressed the request of the Federal Air Transport Agency, and this department – to the airlines.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Agency for Technological Development will assess the possibility of producing spare parts. The Ministry of Industry and Trade asks to “attach” to the answers at least five original parts for 3D scanning, studying the composition of the material and determining the strength properties of the product. The department notes that it had previously requested data on the necessary spare parts, but the answers did not fit – they are printouts from accounting or logistics programs, and it is impossible to assess the possibility of launching production in Russia from them.
