Will strictly enforce lane discipline for buses and goods carrying vehicles on 15 selected roads of Delhi from April 1. For this, the Transport Department of Delhi Government has identified 15 roads. Drivers violating the lane can face a fine of up to Rs 10,000 and a jail term of six months.
Vehicles will run from 8 am to 10 pm
According to the statement issued by the transport department, along with the traffic police, the transport department will determine the special lanes to be used only by buses and goods vehicles, where such vehicles can ply from 8 am to 10 pm.
Cargo vehicles will have to move on special lanes
According to this, other vehicles can be allowed to ply on these particular lanes during the remaining time. However, buses and goods-carrying vehicles will have to ply on their own special lanes.
Rules will be applicable on 15 roads in the first phase
Let us inform that a total of 46 major roads have been identified under this, but in the first phase, this rule will be applicable on 15 roads. The roads that have been identified include Motibagh to Dwarka Mor, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, Ashram Chowk to Badarpur Road, Janakpuri to Madhuban Chowk, Britannia Chowk to Dhaula Kuan, Badli to Bawana, Nehru Place to Subroto Park.
