Royal Enfield will launch new motorcycle, will knock in the name of ‘Interceptor Bear 650’
Royal Enfield is developing several new bikes using its 650cc platform, including the Shotgun 650, the faired Continental GT 650, and the 650cc Scrambler model based on the Interceptor 650. Recently, the company Interceptor Bear 650 Filed a trademark application for the name. According to the reports, this could be the upcoming model of the company.
According to media reports, there is a possibility that Royal Enfield may name its upcoming 650cc Scrambler model as Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650.
Interceptor Bear 650: Features
Going by some of the spy shots of the bike, it could be similar to the Interceptor INT 650. But some design features may be taken from the upcoming Himalayan 450. The test mule showcases retro design cues like headlamps, rearview mirrors, tail-lights and turn indicators.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 Scrambler is likely to be equipped with a fuel tank. According to reports, the LED headlight unit of the Scrambler has been taken from the Super Meteor 650 which further enhances its retro design theme.
Apart from this, you can also get a small flyscreen and a headlight grille. There is a possibility that the motorcycle can get a single-pod instrument console.
Interceptor Bear 650: Powertrain Options
The upcoming Royal Enfield Scrambler can be equipped with a 648cc parallel-twin engine. Which uses air and oil cooling to generate 47bhp power and 52Nm torque. The motorcycle could get a two-in-one exhaust system and the suspension setup could include an inverted front fork and twin rear shock absorbers. It could get disc brakes on both the wheels
It could get disc brakes on both the wheels and come equipped with dual channel ABS as standard safety features. The bike will be outfitted with wire-spoke wheels, which are expected to come shod with conventional tube-type tyres.
