Royal Enfield recalls its Himalayan model due to brake failure

Recall has happened before

This is not the first time that the Himalayan has been recalled for a braking system issue, earlier in 2020 the company had recalled over 650 twins and over 15,000 units of the Himalayan due to the same problem. However, then this recall was for UK, Europe and South Korea. Salt is not used that much for road remedy in India, due to which it is unlikely to be recalled in India.

As a precaution, Royal Enfield has recalled these bikes made in the US between March 2017 and February 2021, whose brake calipers will be replaced by the company free of cost. Also, the company is working to replace the brake calipers in the markets of Europe, UK and Korea.
