Royal Enfield Hunter 450: When Will Royal Enfield’s New 450cc Motorcycle Be Launched?
The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is expected to be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh in the Indian market and is slated for launch by the end of 2024. It may also debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in February.
Upcoming Royal Enfield Bike: Royal Enfield is developing a new 450cc motorcycle specifically for the Indian market. This upcoming model, possibly named the Hunter 450, is based on the Himalayan 450 platform. It has been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads multiple times, with spy shots revealing a design reminiscent of the Hunter 350. However, the rear profile appears similar to that of the Himalayan 450.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Design: The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 takes styling cues from the Hunter 350, featuring circular headlamps and a round fuel tank design. Royal Enfield badging adorns both sides of the tank. The rear profile resembles the new Himalayan 450, sporting a similar tail-lamp cluster with integrated LED indicators. Although the grab handle design differs slightly from the Hunter 350, the upstyled handlebar and footpeg positioning remain unchanged.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Features: It is expected to inherit the circular instrument console from the Himalayan 450. The bike will ride on 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels, equipped with block-pattern tyres. The design of the alloy wheels closely resembles that of the Shotgun 650. Suspension setup comprises telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Engine Specs: The Hunter 450 is likely to be powered by the same 450cc single-cylinder Sherpa petrol engine found in the Himalayan 450. This powerplant delivers a maximum power output of 39 bhp and peak torque of 40 Nm. However, the engine may be retuned for optimal performance in the Hunter 450.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Launch and Price: As mentioned earlier, the expected price of the Hunter 450 is around Rs 2.50 lakh in the Indian market, with a launch anticipated by the end of 2024. It may also make its debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Show in February.
Royal Enfield Hunter 450 Competition: Once launched, the Hunter 450 will face competition in India from models such as the Hero Maverick 440, Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Speed 400, and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401.
