Rostec has developed unique micromodules based on silicon crystals to protect aviation and space electronics

The Roselectronics holding, which is part of Rostec, has created micromodules based on silicon crystals that allow protecting aviation and space on-board electronics from overvoltage and electrostatic discharge.

Such micromodules are not know-how, they were previously used in the aviation and space industries. But domestic solutions are created as a replacement for foreign ones. The dimensions of one module are only 3 x 3 x 1 mm.

Reducing the size and weight of the electronic component base, while maintaining its reliability and efficiency, makes it possible to reduce the power consumption of devices, simplify their design and expand their functionality. The competencies of Ruselectronics made it possible to create micromodules that can compete with foreign models and replace imported products”, – said Oleg Yevtushenko, executive director of Rostec State Corporation.

The technology of multi-chip modules is a promising tool for the miniaturization of all kinds of microelectronic and radio-electronic equipment. It is extremely important that in this direction we managed to achieve complete import substitution and lay the foundation for the further development of such devices.“, – said the general director of the Vega concern Sergey Skorykh.
