Rolls Royce has recently launched its SPECTER EV, whose ex-showroom price is Rs 7.5 crore. Also, this Royal Royce car has a 102kw battery which gives a range of 503 km. To compete with Royal Royce, Mercedes has introduced the concept version of its electric car EQG.
Let us tell you that in India, Mercedes-Benz introduced its EQG all-electric SUV concept model in early 2023. Now, the company has confirmed that the production-ready version of the EQG will be launched in India by the end of this year.
How will EQG electric car be?
Mercedes-Benz says that the EQG will have a quad-motor powertrain, as seen in its concept model. The transmission will be a two-speed gearbox offering low-range and high-range gearing. It has been claimed that the EQG will be ahead of the AMG G63 in terms of power and speed. The electric SUV will have the facility of G-turn function, through which the electric motors will be able to rotate its wheels in the opposite direction. This will enable the vehicle to do 360-degree tank turn. This function can be activated from a dashboard-mounted button. The driver can control left or right turn with the help of paddle shifters provided on the steering wheel.
EQG electric car price
The EQG will have a larger 107.8 kWh battery pack, which will be capable of providing a driving range of over 400 miles. It will get support up to 110 kW DC fast charging. The price of EQG has not been announced yet, but it is expected to start from Rs 1.5 crore. This will be the first all-electric SUV from Mercedes-Benz in India.
Apart from this, Mercedes-Benz has also launched GLA Facelift and AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift. The price of GLA facelift starts at Rs 50.50 lakh while the base price of GLE Coupe facelift is Rs 1.85 crore. These prices are ex-showroom. Changes have been made in the exterior and interior while the engine configuration remains the same as the pre-facelift version.
