According to RIA Novosti, the Google News news aggregator has stopped opening from Russia: when users try to log in, they see a download window, but the resource is not loaded.
A message appears with the following content: “This site cannot provide a secure connection.”
RIA Novosti also notes that this resource is not in the register of sites, access to which is restricted by Roskomnadzor.
According to the GlobalCheck service, it is also impossible to connect to the Google News portal through the networks of Russian operators Beeline, Yota, Tele2 and MTS, as well as through the Rostelecom provider.
In March last year, Roskomnadzor restricted access to Google News in Russia due to false reports about a special operation in Ukraine.
