According to the traffic police registration data, in June 2022, 32,731 new cars were sold in Russia, which is 19.2% more than was sold in May this year (27,458 cars).
“We pushed off the bottom. I really hope that we will not fall below 30,000,” said Sergey Tselikov, head of Avtostat.
Of course, if you remember last June, when sales were 145,115 cars, this June’s result seems very weak. The Top 10 includes the brands Lada, Kia, Hyundai, Chery, Haval and Geely, as well as Renault, Toyota, Skoda, Nissan.
Renault, which left Russia, is still among the leaders in sales, because cars remain in warehouses, but they are in no hurry to buy them out because of prices. For Renault Duster in a rich configuration, they ask for more than 2.2 million rubles.
It is easy to guess which model is now leading the car market. This is Lada Granta Classic’22, demand for which continues to grow.
