People are eagerly awaiting Renault’s new Duster. In 2012, there was overwhelming demand for the Duster, and no other model could compete with it in the mid-size SUV segment.
However, by 2022, the demand for the Duster declined due to increasing competition and multiple options, leading the company to discontinue it. Now, it is ready to make a comeback with a fresh look. The company has officially released its teaser for the Indian market, giving a clear picture of its relaunch. Additionally, Nissan will also launch a similar SUV, both built on the CMF-B platform.
This mid-size SUV is set to launch in India in 2025, likely by mid-2025. The new generation Renault Duster boasts significant changes in looks, style, and design compared to the previous generation. It will feature a new engine and technology, making it an entirely new SUV. The cabin of the new generation Duster will be loaded with many exciting features. Let’s delve into what the new Duster has to offer.
2025 Renault Duster: Exterior, Interior, Engine, and Features
The exterior of the new Renault Duster showcases many changes, especially its front, which looks entirely different. It features a grill with Renault badging, replacing the traditional rhombus symbol. Despite these cosmetic changes, the Duster’s dimensions remain robust, with a length of 4343mm and a wheelbase of 2657mm. It will be available in 6 and 7-seater variants.
Moving to its interiors, the 2025 Renault Duster closely resembles its Romanian counterpart, the Dacia Duster, with the steering wheel being the primary distinguishing feature. The higher trims will feature an advanced 7-inch virtual dashboard and a 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system that rises above the front panel. The tablet and center console enhance the driver-centric driving experience.
The 2025 Renault Duster will offer various engine options to meet diverse needs in the Turkish market. It will feature a three-cylinder 1.0 TCe engine, delivering 100 hp and running on gasoline. Additionally, there will be a mild-hybrid version with a 1.2 TCe gasoline turbo 3-cylinder engine generating 130 horsepower. A 48-volt starter-generator will be available, offering all-wheel drive exclusively. The top-of-the-range variant will be the E-Tech hybrid variant, combining a four-cylinder 1.6 engine and an electric motor, producing an output of 140 hp.
The 6-seater and 7-seater models of the new Duster will launch in the Indian market alongside models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Highrider, Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, MG Astor, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700.
