Renault Cars in India: The engines of all these three models have been changed, as well as the standard safety features have also been increased. Apart from these updates, the company has also introduced a new variant of the Kwid.
Renault 2023 Models Launched: French automaker Renault has updated its lineup of cars in India. Under this, the company has brought its Kwid, Triber and Kiger cars in a new avatar. The engines of all these three models have not only been changed, but standard safety features have also been enhanced. Apart from these updates, the company has also introduced a new variant of the Kwid. Renault has not only opened bookings for the updated Kwid, Triber and Kiger at its dealerships, but has also updated their prices.
What has changed in the engine
All the three models have been given the same petrol engine as before. However, they have now been upgraded as per the Real Driving Emission Norms (RDE). Under this, a self-diagnostic device has been installed in these cars, which will continuously monitor the emission level of the vehicle while driving. Apart from this, other emission devices like catalytic converter and oxygen sensor are fitted.
Where the Triber has a 72hp 1.0-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine, which comes with a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. Similarly, the Kiger also gets the naturally aspirated engine which is only offered with a 5-speed manual. The Kiger also gets a choice of 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission.
Price 4.70 Lakh
As before, the cheapest model is the Renault Kwid. Now its price starts from Rs. 4.70 lakhs. This price is for the 1.0-litre petrol-manual variant. This variant now serves as the entry-level version of the Kwid. Renault has completely removed the 800 cc engine from its line-up.
Similarly, the price of the Renault Kiger sub-compact SUV now starts at Rs 6.5 lakh and goes up to Rs 11 lakh. While the price of Renault Triber starts from Rs.6.34 lakhs and goes up to Rs.8.75 lakhs.
