Renault bringing new SUV Arkana, will compete with Tata Nexon in India, see features

Amidst the bumper sale of compact SUVs in India, companies like Renault are also trying to increase their portfolio and are preparing to launch a new SUV named Arkana in the coming times. At present, the company has an SUV like the Kiger in the compact SUV segment. Now to compete with the segment’s best selling Tata Nexon as well as SUVs like Maruti Brezza and Hyundai Venue in the coming times, Renault is preparing to present its Arcana with powerful look and latest features as well as good mileage. The testing of this SUV has also started a few months back.

Tata may be bigger than Nexon
According to media reports, the Renault Arkana will be 4.5 meters long, 1.8 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. Its wheelbase will be 2731 mm and its ground clearance will also be better. It can replace the Duster from the Indian market. The Arkana could be coupe-style looking, with LED headlamps, DRLs as well as powerful bumpers. The rear look of the Arcana will be quite stylish, with the addition of LED taillamps. Renault Arcana will get all the required standard and safety features including a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, smartphone connectivity, modern dashboard and premium sound.

Talking about the engine and power of Renault Arcana, its Indian avatar can be seen in the same 1.3 liter petrol engine as the international model, which will be equipped with mild hybrid technology. It can be seen with 6 speed manual as well as 6 speed automatic transmission option. The Renault Arcana can be offered in India with a starting price of up to Rs 10 lakh.
