Reliance Jio launched 5G service in 11 more cities on Wednesday. This includes cities in Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra as well as Chandigarh.
According to Reliance Jio, the 11 cities where 5G service has been started include Lucknow, Trivandrum, Mysuru, Nashik, Aurangabad and Chandigarh. At the same time, 5G service has also been started in Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharad and Derabassi. This is the first time in the country when such a large number of 5G services have been launched in many states simultaneously.
Will get Jio Welcome Offer
According to PTI news, customers opting for Jio’s 5G service in all these cities will get Jio Welcome Offer. Under this offer, all customers will be able to enjoy unlimited data at high speed up to 1 Gbps. Company spokesperson says that all these cities are major tourist destinations and education hubs of the country. In such a situation, tourists and students will get the benefit of high speed 5G service.
Gujarat became the first 5G state
Before starting 5G service in these cities, Reliance Jio has started 5G service in all the districts of Gujarat. The company has extended its 5G service to all 33 districts of the state. In this way, Gujarat has become the first state in the country to get 100 percent 5G service.
Service launch with Education for All
While launching 100 percent 5G service in all 33 districts of Gujarat, the company had said that it will provide 5G service to the customers without any extra charges. Along with this, the company also launched its ‘Education for All’ initiative in the state. Under this, Reliance Foundation and Jio together are going to digitize 100 schools in Gujarat.
