Redmi Phone with 8000mAh Battery Could Be a Game-Changer
Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi introduced the Turbo 4 Pro smartphone with a large battery in April. This model launched in China with a 7,550mAh battery. Now, reports suggest that the company is working on an upgraded version—Redmi Turbo 5 Pro—which may feature a battery exceeding 8000mAh.
Redmi’s Big Battery Smartphone in the Works
Information about this new smartphone comes from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The tipster revealed that Xiaomi is developing a device with a battery capacity of more than 8000mAh. While the name hasn’t been confirmed, speculation suggests this phone could be the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro.
Interestingly, the POCO F7 recently launched in India with specifications similar to the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro from China. Following this pattern, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro could debut in India as the POCO F8. If this happens, the POCO F8 could become the brand’s largest battery smartphone.

Performance:
The phone runs on Android 15 with HyperOS. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process, featuring Cortex-A720 and Cortex-X4 cores. In benchmark tests by 91mobiles, the POCO F7 scored 19,10,179 on AnTuTu. The device uses the Adreno 825 GPU for graphics.
Gaming Features:
The phone includes a 3D IceLoop cooling system with an AI temperature control unit and a 6000mm² vapor cooling chamber. It also features WildBoost 4.0 for enhanced gaming with high FPS and detailed visuals.
Memory:
The device supports Turbo RAM technology, expanding the physical 12GB RAM with an additional 12GB of virtual RAM, effectively offering 24GB. It uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The POCO F7 houses a 7,550mAh battery. In battery benchmark tests, it scored 20 hours and 36 minutes on PC Mark. It supports 90W fast charging, taking 45 minutes to charge from 20% to 100%.

It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution (2772 x 1280 pixels), 120Hz refresh rate, 2560Hz touch sampling rate, and 3200 nits peak brightness. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Camera:
For photography, the phone supports a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary lens (f/1.55 aperture), capable of capturing detailed shots in low light. For selfies and video calls, it features a 20MP front camera.
