Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition in the Chinese market earlier this year. The Redmi K50 gaming successor will serve as the Redmi K60 gaming variant which is expected to arrive in the coming months as the Chinese consumer tech giant is already working on it. This upcoming smartphone of Xiaomi will be kept exclusively for the Chinese market.
Smartphone spotted on IMEI database
Redmi K60 Gaming was recently spotted on the IMEI database, according to a report by Xiaomiui and as per the listing, it is expected to pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It appeared on the listing as model number: 23011310C, where C denotes the Chinese variant.
Will be equipped with this processor
Xiaomiui claims that the Redmi K60 Gaming, Model Number: 23011310C is called Socrates and will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset – which is the new chipset from Qualcomm and is expected to be launched during Qualcomm Summit 2022, which It is expected to be held in the coming month.
Redmi K50 will be the successor to the gaming smartphone
The Redmi K60 gaming variant will serve as the successor to the current Redmi K50 gaming variant that was launched earlier this year. There is no update on the pricing of the upcoming Redmi gaming smartphone; However, the Redmi K50 gaming variant comes at a price of Rs 3,299 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant.
Will be available in Chinese market
Xiaomiui further states that the Redmi K60 will be available exclusively for the Chinese markets from early 2023. Hence, the gaming phone will not be available for markets outside China.
