Xiaomi has officially announced the top flagship smartphone Redmi K50 Extreme Edition. Previously, there were rumors that the new device in the series would be called Redmi K50 Ultra or Redmi K50S Pro, but now we know its correct name.
Xiaomi’s latest flagship under the Redmi brand will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Pllus Gen 1 SoC, as stated in the teaser. The launch of Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is scheduled for this month.
Redmi CEO Lu Weibing stressed that it will be the most powerful smartphone in the history of the brand, as well as “a perfect masterpiece that combines all the advanced technologies of Redmi.”
Yesterday, a well-known insider under the nickname Digital Chat Station published the results of testing a smartphone that scored 1,120,691 points in the popular AnTuTu test application. It is worth adding that Asus ROG Phone 6 scored about 1.11 million, while Xiaomi 12S Ultra scored 1.1 million.
It is expected that the smartphone will receive a 2K flat screen with support for 120 Hz – the same as the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. Redmi K50 Ultra will come with 120W fast charging support. In addition, it is reported that the smartphone will receive a 1080p screen to save energy.
