These companies claim that 5G network will give 10 times faster speed than 4G. However, the reality is telling something else. According to a report, about 56% people in the country are troubled by ‘call drop’ and call network. Meaning, a large population of the country does not have access to a better 4G network, due to which there is a problem in terms of internet connectivity due to frequent call cuts and lack of network while talking on the phone.

According to the online platform LocalCircle, a survey focused on call quality was conducted in 339 districts of India. The survey found that 56% people are facing problems like call network and call drops. 82 percent of people have to resort to data or WiFi calls to deal with network problems. On the other hand, when asked what percentage of their calls are facing bad network or call drops in the last three months, 37 per cent said that 20 to 50 per cent of their calls faced such problems. Of the 8,364 people surveyed, 91 percent said that they are troubled by the call network and drop calls, while 56 percent said that it is a serious problem.
5G launch in these cities till Diwali
According to the report of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), 5G service will be started in 13 cities first in India. The cities where people will get 5G connectivity first include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. Jio can launch 5G in the country till October 24 i.e. Diwali. At the same time, the date of October 12 has been announced by Airtel.
