Vivo has announced the release of an update that will enable real-time ray tracing on its flagship Vivo X90 line of phones. Moreover, it will work in all models of the series, regardless of the platform (Vivo X90 and Vivo X90 Pro are based on SoC Dimensity 9200, and Vivo X90 Pro + uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).
The fact that these models support real-time ray tracing is not new, the company announced this even before the premiere of the phones, but now, after the release of the corresponding update, the technology will really work.
The description on the official teaser mentions Falcon’s own graphics engine, as well as artificial intelligence algorithms that will partly ensure the operation of the technology. But at the heart of it is still a GPU.
