An incident of rape of a woman for four years by false promise of marriage was reported in Kalyan, Thane, Maharashtra. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. This matter is being investigated.
According to the information, the accused is a resident of Tamil Nadu. He met the victim, who was in the shipbuilding profession, in the year 2020. After this, there was a friendship between the two, which gradually turned into a love relationship. The accused started having physical relations with the victim on the pretext of marriage.
In the complaint received by the police, the victim alleges that her alleged lover raped her on several occasions from February 2020 to November 2024. On the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case against the accused under section 376(2)(n) (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
