Banks will remain closed in these states

There is going to be a bank holiday in many states on Ram Navami. These states are Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh.

Banks are going to remain closed on these dates also

  1. 15 April 2024: Banks will remain closed in Guwahati and Shimla zones due to Himachal Day.
  2. 17 April 2024: Due to Shri Ram Navami, there will be a bank holiday in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Shimla, Mumbai and Nagpur.
  3. 20 April 2024: There will be a bank holiday in Agartala due to Garia Puja.
  4. 21 April 2024: There will be a weekly holiday for banks due to Sunday.
  5. 27 April 2024: There will be a bank holiday due to the fourth Saturday.
  6. 28 April 2024: There will be a weekly holiday for banks due to Sunday.

Go to bank branch only after seeing the list of holidays.

Actually, nowadays most of the work related to banks is done online. But still there are many tasks like opening a bank account and taking a loan, for which one has to go to the bank branch. If you go to the bank branch without looking at the list of bank holidays, you may be disappointed. Besides, your important work will also stop. In such a situation, know in advance when the bank holidays are. There is a bank holiday on Sunday of every week and on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.
