A case of a Dalit man being tied upside down to a tree and beaten brutally has come to light in Barmer district of Rajasthan. The victim has been accused of theft. After the video of this incident went viral, the police took cognizance of the matter. Police have arrested two accused.

Gudamalani police station in-charge Mukta Pareek said that the video of this incident went viral on social media on Saturday. After this, when the police investigated the matter, they came to know that on Friday, a Dalit man named Shravan Meghwal was tied upside down to a tree and beaten in a village.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused had accused Shravan Meghwal of being involved in the theft. On the basis of the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case against six accused under the Indian Justice Code and SC/ST Act. This matter is being investigated.

Let us tell you that in September last year, in a village of Baran Sadar police station area of ​​Rajasthan, a young man was tied to a tree and beaten with a garland of shoes around his neck. Along with this, the young man was stripped and made to wear women’s clothes and its video was made viral on social media.

The brother of the victim youth was accused of abducting a woman from the family of the accused. The victim’s wife was also included among the accused. The police reached the spot on information and rescued the victim. Six accused including the victim’s wife were arrested in the case.

In the statement given to the police, the victim had alleged that he was held hostage for 19 days. A police officer had told that a phone call was made to Jagmohan Mogya, resident of Kalamanda Hall, Gidpata, by Babulal Mogya, resident of Borina. He said that he should come to them with his wife.

In such a situation, on September 4, he reached Borina with his wife Rukmani Bai. During this time, he was deceitfully locked in the house by Babulal Mogya, Rameshwar Mogya, Dwarkabai Mogya, Rukmanibai Mogya, Vinod Bai Mogya and his wife Rukmanibai Mogya. On the morning of 22 September, he was dragged to another place.

The accused tied him with a chain to a tree. After this, Babulal beat the victim by putting a garland of shoes around his neck and insulted him by removing his clothes. The police had registered a case against the accused on the basis of the victim’s complaint. There was resentment among the people of the area due to this incident.
