While in China with its own video cards everything is not very good, processors develop much more actively. Up to the point that modern CPUs from Intel and AMD have already reached the specified parameters. In particular, new tests of the processor Loongson 3A6000 show that its architecture is quite compatible with Zen 4 and Raptor Lake.
Of course, not everything is that simple. Firstly, we are talking about a quad-core CPU, secondly, it has a very low frequency of 2,5 GHz. Thirdly, we are talking primarily about synthetic tests, which show the potential of architectures, whereas in real tasks everything can be very different.
In any case, in the test SPEC 2007 this very Loongson 3A6000 is close or comparable with Ryzen 9 7950X and Core i9-14900K, but, if the latter will work at the same frequency 2,5 GHz. It is also worth mentioning that this test does not take into account the quantity of nuclei. This says that the performance per gigahertz of the Chinese CPU is approximately the same as that of the solutions from AMD and Intel.
