Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Security Council put forward a proposal to create a state information security system.
In his speech, Putin noted that a war has been unleashed against Russia in cyberspace – a systematic and coordinated war is being waged in the information space.
In connection with the current situation, the President notes the need to increase the security of information systems and communication networks in state bodies. Putin noted that the checks carried out in 2021 showed that most of the resources operating there are vulnerable to massive attacks, to destructive external influences, especially when using the latest generation of foreign technologies.
Vladimir Putin stressed:
It is necessary to strengthen the defense of the domestic digital space – there should be no weak points here. It is of fundamental importance to reduce the risks of leaks of confidential information and personal data of citizens, including through stricter control of the rules for the use of official equipment, communications, and communications.
Putin noted that he considers it expedient to consider the issue of creating a state system for protecting information. The President also explained:
We need to seriously and constantly, as they say, in real time improve, fine-tune the mechanisms for ensuring the information security of critical sectoral facilities, on which the defense capability of our country, the stable development of the economy and the social sphere directly depend.
