The team monitoring the journey tracked every kilometer traveled by the Porsche Taycan EV, as well as recorded and videographed the charging and discharging times. During the journey, the car driver was getting information about the available charging stations on the way through the mobile application so that the car could be charged immediately when it was discharged.
For this challenge, the standard model of Porsche Taycan EV was chosen which comes with some luxury features like performance battery plus premium package, adaptive cruise control and Porsche electric sport sound. It took 22 minutes to charge the car for the first time. In this time, this car was charged from 6 to 82 percent.
Recently the record for longest drift has also been set by Porsche Taycan EV. The record for completing a drift of 42.171 km in 55 minutes with this car has been recorded in the ‘Guinness World Record’.
The Porsche Taycan EV comes with a sporty design and measures 4,963 mm in length, 2,144 mm in width and 1,378 mm in height. The car uses 21-inch alloy wheels with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. It can cover a distance of up to 500 km on a single charge.
The Taycan EV luxury cabin comes with 4 seats which are curved and can be rotated in any direction. The cabin also gets a 16.8-inch digital instrument console and an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment panel. It gets a 10.9-inch central infotainment display and an optional passenger display. The car is also equipped with features like ‘Porsche Charge Map’ which provides the driver with information about the available charging stations on the route.
The Porsche Taycan EV is powered by two electric motors that can generate a maximum power of 600 Bhp. The car gets the option of two high voltage Lithium Ion batteries which give it a maximum range of 500 kms. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
The Porsche Taycan EV comes with an 800-volt charger with fast charging capability, which charges it to run for 400 km in just 15 minutes. Porsche Taycan EV has been made available in India at a price of Rs 1.50 crore. It is offered in three variants – Base 4S trim, Turbo and Turbo S. In India, the Porsche Taycan EV competes with the Audi e-tron GT, Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
