Porsche Cayenne will have to move. The company is preparing a more premium and larger crossover

The Porsche Cayenne will no longer be the company’s top crossover for the foreseeable future. The German brand said it is preparing a new SUV based on the SSP platform, which will become the company’s new flagship. Of course, it will be electric.

We plan to add to our portfolio a new luxury all-electric SUV model that will roll off the assembly line in Leipzig. This will further expand our position in the luxury segment. We are targeting higher margin segments in particular and aim to exploit new sales opportunities in this way

So far, it is only known that the car will be launched in the second half of the current decade, that is, between 2025 and 2030. There is also an assumption that the render of this particular model was shown at a presentation to a group of North American Porsche dealers at the end of last year. The actual image isn’t online, but the car is said to be different from the Macan and Cayenne, being wider, bigger and flatter at the rear.
