Three people have been arrested by the Sahakaranagar police for allegedly threatening and making money to a woman running an Ayurvedic massage center in Dhankwadi, Pune in Maharashtra. Describing himself as the leader of a political party, the main accused had allegedly demanded an inappropriate demand from the woman and threatened to close the center on refusal.
According to the police report, the incident took place in February, when a 40 -year -old woman lodged a complaint at the Sahakaranagar police station. Accused Rohit Waghmare went to the center for massage with his friend.
During the session, Waghmare had allegedly put on the recording of his mobile phone in his shirt pocket, after which he pressurized the woman to take off the top while giving the massage. When he refused, he threatened to close his Ayurvedic center. Later, he allegedly called two more colleagues and demanded Rs 20,000 from the woman. He also threatened that if the woman did not give the money, they will leak her video.
After the complaint was registered, the police started investigation and arrested Rohit Gurudutt Waghmare, Shubham Changdev Dhanwate and Rahul Dnyaneshwar Waghmare. It is being told that one of the accused is a journalist who has its own YouTube channel and newspaper. The court has sent the accused to police custody till 12 March, while further investigation is on.
