POCO has revealed the launch of a new smartphone in India. The company will soon launch the POCO C50 in India. The device will be launched as the successor to the POCO C31 that was launched in India last year. The C50 is said to be launched in India in November. Although the date of launch has not been disclosed yet.
POCO, however, revealed that the phone will be launched during the last week of November 2022. The device is claimed to be an overall package, and is said to offer “statler camera performance, immersive multimedia experience, a sleek design along with long battery life and much more”. The POCO C50 will launch as a new entry-level smartphone from the Xiaomi spin-off brand. The launch date of the device has not been told yet. It is being said that ahead of its launch which is slated for the last week of November, POCO has revealed that the phone will come at a budget price.
POCO C50 was listed in these places
The company has not disclosed the design or any other specification of the phone. However, it was recently spotted on Google Play Console, IMEI database and some websites. The listing on the Google Play Console website has revealed that the C50 could be a rebadged version of the Redmi A1+, which was launched in India earlier this year. The C50 was enlisted in the Google Play supported devices list with the codename Snow. It is also codenamed Redmi A1+, which suggests that the upcoming C50 could be a rebranded edition of the budget Redmi phone.
The device was also spotted on the IMEI database with model number 220733SPI. Its Geekbench listing has revealed that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which is also found in the Redmi A1+.
POCO C50 battery and storage
If the phone is indeed a rebadged Redmi A1+, it is likely to feature a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch at the top. The phone will pack a 5000mAh battery and offer 10W charging support. It will also sport a dual-camera setup at the back. The device is likely to sport an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor.
It will have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. There is also a possibility of the phone running Android 12 Go Edition out of the box. We can expect POCO to launch the phone with 64GB of internal storage. There will be an option to increase the memory via microSD card slot. The phone also comes with 3.5mm headphone jack.
