Open Vision Engineering has launched a new gadget called Pocket, a compact AI-powered stenographer designed to function as a personal secretary for everyday tasks. This innovative device, which attaches magnetically to the back of your smartphone, is capable of recording and organizing conversations throughout the day, making it an invaluable tool for professionals and busy individuals.
The Pocket device is activated with a simple press of a button and instantly begins recording conversations, including phone calls. It is designed to distinguish between different speakers, ensuring accurate recordings. Additionally, it encrypts these recordings for security and converts them into text for easy analysis.
One standout feature of Pocket is the “Conversation Map,” which analyzes recorded conversations, breaks them down into segments, and highlights key ideas and points. This helps users understand the flow of discussion and identify important details from the conversation, including who said what and how the dialogue progressed.
The device allows users to process up to 200 minutes of recordings per month for free, with additional plans available to extend this limit for those who require more.
Currently available for pre-order in the United States for $79, Pocket is set to begin shipping in early 2025. With its compact design and advanced AI capabilities, it promises to be a valuable assistant for anyone looking to streamline their daily tasks and improve productivity.
