PMI Electro opens electric bus depot in this city, total 48 e-bus operations, see details

PMI Electric Bus Depot At Rajkot:
Efforts are on across the country to emphasize on the electrification of mobility, ie electric vehicles, and in this effort PMI Electro Mobility has started an electric bus depot in Rajkot city of Gujarat. Recently, Gujarat CM Bhupendrabhai Patel inaugurated the electric bus depot of PMI. PMI Electro will manage and operate this electric bus depot for the next 10 years. Along with this, PMI also delivered 23 new electric buses.

80 bus capacity
PMI Electro’s electric buses will run on the BRTS corridor in Rajkot. At present, 50 electric buses ply in this corridor. The Rajkot Electric Bus Depot commissioned by PMI Electro has a total capacity of 80 buses and is spread over 17,000 square meters. This bus depot is fitted with 14 DC fast chargers, which are capable of charging 20-100% any electric buses in less than an hour. PMI has also received award for supplying 100 additional electric buses to Rajkot Municipal Corporation. PAI is the largest electric bus provider company in Rajkot.

Inaugurating the Electric Bus Depot at Rajkot, Anurag Aggarwal, Director, PMI Electro Mobility said that Rajkot is becoming a major city of Gujarat, with a lot of emphasis on electric mobility. PMI is trying to realize the vision of Gujarat Government. Now after the introduction of electric bus depot, electric public transportation will get a big boost. Special routes have been made for services and maintenance in this bus depot.
