PLI Job’s Alert: Bumper jobs to come from PLI scheme in the country

PLI Job Alert: PLI scheme in India invites foreign companies to set up their units. This scheme encourages small enterprises operating in the country to expand their production units. Production Linked Incentives In the Production Linked Incentives (PLI) schemes, companies have asked to recruit more and more employees in the July-September quarter.

Survey done on 900 companies
In the TeamLease Employment Outlook Report, it has been said that the intention of companies to make new recruitments in the current quarter has increased by 7 to 61% as compared to the April-June quarter. In the last quarter, the intention to make new recruits was at 54% marks. This has been concluded on the basis of a survey conducted among about 900 small, medium and large companies located in 14 cities across the country.

What is the status of metros
According to the report, it has seen an increase of 7% in metros and tier-1 cities. It was 81% in the first quarter of the current financial year, which has increased to 89% in the second quarter. At the same time, the intention to make new recruitment in Tier II cities increased by 7% to 62% marks, while for Tier III cities this probability increased by 3% to 37% marks. On the other hand, an increase of 2 percent has been registered in making new recruitments in rural and urban areas.

72% chance of recruitment in Delhi
If we look at the region wise, Delhi leads in manufacturing with 72% recruitment potential, while Mumbai (59%) and Chennai (55%) are in second and third place. In terms of services, Bengaluru’s highest 97% companies have expressed their intention to recruit in the July-September quarter. It is followed by Mumbai (81%) and Delhi (68%).

Business environment expected to improve
Overall the overall business environment is improving and more companies are now planning to do new recruitments. Rituparna Chakraborty, Executive Director and Co-Founder, TeamLease, said that increasing public investment in PLI schemes has improved prospects. There is not only an improvement in the intent to recruit new recruits, but it is also likely to cross the 70% mark in the next few quarters.
