The price of petrol and diesel in Mumbai is Rs 118.83 and Rs 103.07 per liter respectively. Petrol now costs Rs 109.34 per liter in Chennai and Rs 99.42 per liter for diesel. Petrol in Kolkata is being sold at Rs 113.45 per liter and diesel at Rs 98.22 per liter. Fuel prices have increased across the country, although rates of increase may vary by state tax.

Explain that due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the prices of crude oil in the international market continue to fluctuate. Since India imports 85 per cent of its fuel requirement, even slight fluctuations in crude oil prices have a huge impact on petrol and diesel prices in the country. Experts believe that the prices of petrol and diesel in India may continue to fluctuate in the coming days.

CNG also became expensive
CNG prices in Delhi have been increased twice in the last 12 hours. On Monday morning, CNG prices increased by Rs 2.5 per kg. Now the price of CNG in Delhi has gone up to Rs 64.11 per kg. The new rate of CNG is applicable from 4th April i.e. today. Earlier on Sunday late night, the price of CNG was increased by 80 paise.
