The PayPal payment service has officially announced that all Russians registered on the platform must withdraw all remaining funds from their electronic wallets by March 18. The system ceases its activities in Russia and provides all users in the country with the opportunity to return the balance of money.
A message addressed to Russian users appeared in the Help Center section of the PayPal website: “Due to recent events, we have decided to suspend our services for sending and receiving payments in Russia. We are currently maintaining the withdrawal feature. To minimize possible further service disruptions, we kindly ask that you withdraw the balance from your account by March 18, 2022. We apologize for the inconvenience caused . ” The system also left a link to instructions for adding a bank account for withdrawing money.
The PayPal service suspended the registration of Russian users on March 3, and 2 days later announced the termination of work in the country, warning that it would still be possible to return the money remaining in the system for some time. Recall, on the eve of the eBay platform announced the suspension of all transactions with Russian addresses – users from other countries have lost the opportunity to place orders with sellers from Russia.
